Key aspect of recruitment in HRM

Definition : Recruitment is the process of identifying and attracting qualified candidates to fill the positions of the organization.

Purpose : The primary goal of recruitment is to build a pool of qualified candidates for the process of the selection

Importance : Effective recruitment helps the organizations find the right person who can lead to increase the productivity, performance and to build the strong workforce.


Recruitment Process



1. Preparing & identifying job requirements

This refers determining which positions need to be filled and defining the required skills, experience and qualifications and understanding the company's current and future stuffing requirements.


2, sourcing candidates

This involves identifying potential candidates throughout the different channels such as social media, employee referrals, a job board and recruitment firms.

3. Screening and shortlisting

This involves reviewing the most suitable applications and the most suitable candidates for further consideration.

4. Interviewing and selection

This involves conducting interviews with shortlisted candidates to assess their skills, experience and the suitability for the jo role.

5. Hiring

This involves making a decision on which candidate to hire and offering them the positions.

6. Onboarding 

This refers integrating new hires in to the organization and ensuring their successful transaction into their ne roles.



Recruitment Methods

When we think of recruitment, recruitment method can be divided in to Two. The first one is internal recruitment. and the other one is external recruitment. Internal recruitment sources focus on filling job opportunities with existent employees including promotion, demotions, transfers, employee referrals and hiring former employees.

External recruitment can be done using social media, advertising, recruitment agencies, job fairs and campus recruitment, employee referrals and utilizing government-run employment agencies.

Conclusion

Recruitment is the most important because it ensures a business has the right talent to drive success, fostering productivity, innovation, and customer satisfaction, while also contributing to a positive company culture and image. in my presentation i have explained the key aspect of the recruitment, recruitment process and what the recruitment methods are which an organization should be  following in order to achieve the expected performance levels in the business. And also it is very important to know the advantages and the disadvantage of both recruitment methods so as to decide the correct recruitment method to find out the correct candidate.
